It all began with a record player and a question.

My love of the arts began when I was little. My mom would play classical music records on weekends while we cleaned the house. The thundering crescendoes could be heard—and felt—over the roar of the vacuum. It was the first “arts experience” I remember.

Many years later, when working in marketing and PR firms around Chicago and the midwest, I asked myself, “How can I use my skills for good?”

I have dedicated my career to purpose-driven organizations of all stripes—building brands and increasing fans and revenue amidst a rapidly shifting landscape of consumer needs. As the longtime CMO of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, I grew audiences, revenue, and engagement through bold strategy, collaborative and disciplined execution, and a focus on inclusion.

In 2021 I founded a boutique consultancy to partner with purpose-led organizations across the U.S. to advance their missions, reach untapped markets and turn around declining support bases, launch critical inclusion initiatives, drive compelling programming and brand experiences, forge strategic partnerships, and shape their digital evolution.

FUN FACTS

  • I am a Fulbright Specialist with the U.S. Department of State: In September of 2023, I was deployed to Nepal to develop the brand strategy and mission/vision/values for Licchavi House, an arts and culture hub focused on ancient Himalayan wisdom.

  • I have a Master’s Degree in journalism and communication from UW-Madison: I know how to ask the right questions and leverage data.

  • I am invested in the study of human-centered design, rituals, and awe.

  • I am based in Cincinnati, rich with arts and outdoor spaces. When I’m not working, I’m often found in nature.
